It’s on FIRE!
Fishing has been off the charts this past week! Our recent warming trend has shot the bay’s water temps back in to the mid to upper 60’s and the fish are certainly responding. Redfish are still abundant and while you have to weed through some smaller fish to get a slot sized one (18-27”), they are certainly there if you put the time in. Snook are starting to come out of there dormant state and we are getting an easy dozen Snook a day up to 30 inches. Sheepshead are everywhere and the jacks and sharks are starting to return as well. Spring is just around the corner, as are the tarpon…. peak season is here in SW Florida and please don’t wait long to book your trips. I have had a busy peak season this year with folks traveling down from Idaho, Colorado, California, every state in the Midwest and quite a few states up in the Northeast. Everyone wants to fish and get away from the snow and cold, so make sure your reservations early! Until we meet, tight lines and screaming drags...
