A new season…
September is finally here! Traditionally, July and August are “down” time for me on the fishing front and allows me to tackle much needed time at home, personal affairs, refining equipment, networking and everything else on the “to-do” list. The last few months were certainly busy, as Emily and I bought a new house in Naples and have been busy making it “home”. We also turned over the Ranger 2300 Bay Boat and are taking delivery on another Ranger very soon! We will be back out on the water running charters in a few weeks and are looking forward to another great season in SW Florida. The upcoming season should be really interesting. Mix in a full slate of tournaments, new boat, new rods, a strengthened client base and leveraging new tactics like fishing from paddleboards in the backcountry will all be part of the new season. Yes, I said paddleboards. It has become the new craze in SW Florida and I will be working with Sweetwater Paddlesports , where they are SW Florida’s premier stand-up paddleboarding retailer and are conveniently located off the shores of Estero Bay in Bonita Springs, FL and walking distance from the beach right on Bonita Beach Road. Taylor and Brandon are a full service shop and offer rentals, lessons, sales, service, tours, fishing, you name it. They even will deliver your rental boards to you! I am really looking forward to working with them as this will provide a new twist to the traditional charters we offer. Check them out here at www.sweetwaterpaddlesports.com Until next time, tight lines and good fishing.
